I think that many people miss the difference between the two and don’t really under stand the difference between the two and what crimes fall in the category of either general or specific intent. Specific intent, defendant must have the specific intent to commit the crime. Examples are Solicitation, attempted murder, conspiracy, and those crimes that intend to kill; murder, voluntary manslaughter and heat of passion killings. General intent, no specific content needed
