This complex issue regarding Russia’s political hegemony not only affects our own sovereign state, but infringes other states and their rights as well. This concern is the foundation of our case because in the likely circumstance that Russia continues with its sabre-rattling, it will dawn a new and more intense Cold War between the Russian Federation and the rest of Western society. There is coherent proof from within the last two decades that shows Russia attempting to belittle not only Sweden, but several countries; this is something that we will not stand for.

Both of these offences were great concern to our state sovereignty as we operate with the best interest of our state. Furthermore, not only do we have a right as a state to our sovereignty, but we also have an obligation to ensure that other states are given an ability to exercise this right. Therefore, we are responsible to ensure that Russia’s hegemony does not violate the safety of our country. Which in this case is backed up again by the aforementioned Convention,
