Although these may seem like something to do as a pastime, the brainpower used to solve a logic problem is a fraction of what it takes to be an attorney of law. Here she must find evidence why someone is guilty or innocent. An example of this was when a woman was going to sue because her hand was smashed in the trashcan maker. All the judges were about to decide to sue the company. However, my mom had written a dissent and had evidence the factory worker had done something against the rules that caused her hand to be smashed. There were signs that said to not get near, or danger. In the first vote, everyone still voted for her to sue, but my mom’s judge voted against it. This caused the case to go to the Supreme Court where the court decided what was written in the dissent was correct, and they reversed the decision in order to agreed with my mom’s judge. She had to toil through writing the perfect words for the court, so it could be clearly understood. Every time she is on stage, she may be nervous, but on the outside she is cool and collected. The first time this was a struggle of larger proportions was when she was in law school. She did not want to talk in front of the whole class, but her teacher made her do it over and over. Her professor knew my mom did not like this, and she didn’t know why she made her do it. One day, my mom asked her professor why she had to talk in front of the class all the time. Her teacher said she had confidence that she could do it. This was a humongous boost of confidence for her, but she still struggled with public speaking. When she was the vice president of the Key School, she had to speak in front of all the parents. However, she acted like it was easy, so everyone believed that was how she felt. She still struggles with this today, but now she has gotten much better. She only struggles in one more area, and this is her directional
