This brief provides a basic discussion of five areas of social risk factors for involvement in crime: family, education, economics, community and peers, and alcohol and other drugs. With each of the social risk factors, it provides how the factor can aid or hinder the chance of criminal activity. Overall parental behaviors play the strongest role in shaping a child’s risk of later criminal activity.
This source, similar to the one previous, goes into detail on social factors of crime. Since my paper is on social factors of crime, this source will be referenced many times. I can implement this into my final paper by using some of the factors, and then providing specific examples as to when they would apply. Since the goal of this brief was to discuss social factors of crime, it has succeeded.

Many scientists believe that genetic disposition plays a huge role in criminal activity, but in all situations it has been determined that the factors present in this source can be attributed to shaping criminal behavior.
