This method is also shown in Anthem by the council keeping everyone in a “we” mindset and changing them over originally. One way of brainwashing …show more content…
The average female model now weigh 23% less than the average female. There was also a study done at UW-madison University where they took four women and exposed them to different magazines. The first magazine was health and fitness, the second was beauty/fashion, and the third was a news magazine. Then when they were interviewed the average response indicated that they were negatively affected by the health/fitness as well as the beauty and fashion. Another test was done where they took 40 women and asked them how often they think negatively about themselves. 1 person said they never think negatively about themselves. 9 people said they rarely think negatively about themselves. 12 people said they sometimes think negatively about themselves. 16 people said they often think negatively about themselves. Finally 2 people said they always think negatively about themselves. This is significant because only one in forty women said they never think their overweight while double that think they’re always overweight. Good Job! Magazines you make people think their fat. They do this by giving people something to chase after and people are not satisfied until they caught the thing they're chasing.
