Social media is recognized and used as a form of communication, increasing in all sectors of society including education. According to Vasek & Hendricks (2016) teachers all across the United States seem to embrace social media utilizing it as an educational tool to communicate collaboratively among students, parents, and administrators. This form of communication enriches classroom curriculum, as well as professional development. The social media platforms such as Facebook and Twitter, often provides teachers a formidable instructional tool promoting collaboration while facilitating a cohesive learning society. Student creativity is encouraged utilizing the social media and other internet-based tools that expands learning beyond the classrooms. This age group of teachers over 50 can collaborate via Facebook with their peers, administrators, and their students. There are many ways Baby Boomers can facilitate in a collaborative way; however, Facebook dominates the social media among many of the demographics, which includes Baby Boomers.
