should we celebrate columbus day?
I think we should not celebrate columbus day. why? well because the things he did was bad.there was also some good things in all of this to. let me tell you some things that he did that were good and that were.
Here are some bad things he did while he was at America.I will also tell you about how we should not celebrate him in schools. I think we should not celebrate columbus day because he made a lot of the people living in America work as slaves.he also killed a lot of the west indies just for subjecting them. The west indies subjected them to extreme violence and brutality. I think that is bad to do just because they said no to him.There were a lot of people dead and sick. I can't believe he killed a lot of people. after 60 years there was only 250,000 taino were left on their island. …show more content…
But did you know that they all brought something else with them i wonder if you know it well i will tell you any way he brung a disease to them and so many of them died. I wonder if they all knew that they had a disease in then and it was contagious.
My personal opinion is that there should not be a holiday. But there are other people out in the world that say should be a holiday. It is just me that say’s it should not be a holiday. I think it is bad he killed a lot of people. But he was the one that founded America.
You could argue that it’s the only nation that came about in such away. everyone should love America even if it did start off bad when columbus came but he was the first person in england to find America on his journey for good trading. but here's the weakness the problem was that he killed a lot of people that lived there. He was the founder of our country so he did good and he did not try to kill them with the disease. Some people think that they did not know and i think the same
