The stars and deities descended one by one in hopes to cheer her up. They all gathered and sang loving words to her blank wall. They wanted to bring life to this land of silence, stillness and water. There was no light, no plants, no people and no animals. To separate the sky and earth, a Ceiba tree was planted; establishing its roots throughout the land. They all cheered to the new beginning of life, in hopes the goddess will step out. The tree grew, but only to a miniature size, for there was no sun. The same casualty occurred to all the plants. Instead of sunlight, the moon’s rainbow showered the skies. Enamoring flowers were born like the Night Bloom Water Lilies and Ipomoea (Moon flower). They made humans out of clay and mud; they seemed lifeless at first but the Goddess granted them a heart, soul and emotions. She poured her powers into everyone, but her own flaw was also spread. Humans gained righteousness, morality, love, shame, and concern for others. They took care of the land but they also carried pride, envy, wrath, gluttony. sloth and greed. The people harvested food and always thanked all the deities for life. They would hold ceremonies in remembrance to the day the Goddess came to Honduras, the day the deities all came together to bring life and their own birth. They all sang, drank, danced unclothed, laughed loudly and messed around altogether. Sexuality didn’t matter, they loved one another. Having fun was their ritual. Soon all the deities and stars went back to their position, and the Goddess decided to protect Honduras and to protect all the lands. She poured her power into everyone, but after decades she grew weak. The Goddess couldn’t prevent humans from committing hateful acts, or animals competing against each other. The Goddess can only look from afar as she shines life. Nonetheless, due to her weakened power, there are seasons. At night she rests and looks over the Night Bloom Water Lilies and Ipomoea.
