Thanks to global warming the whole earth, even the oceans are heating up. This is having many new and potentially life-threatening changes for both ocean life and humans. A mysterious, potentially deadly neurotoxin has been found in many new shellfish. Phytoplankton produces a natural acid called Domoic acids which in small doses it's harmless. However, when it is produced in excess it becomes poisonous to people. "The shellfish that eat these algae blooms don't seem to be affected by the toxin," said Morgaine McKibben, a Ph.D. student at the University of Oregon. But when other animals eat the shellfish they are affected in a very negative way. When it is ingested, it can …show more content…
Although some pet owners might be exaggerated the personalities the basic principle is correct, at least in birds. Animal personalities have not really been studied, but a new study has classed the Collard Flycatcher bird into groups of more and less aggressive males. These tests show the birds more likely to take risks also were the ones most likely to be trapped. This experiment shows that within this species of bird, each bird has different personality meaning that so could other animals.
Is There an Element Zero?
We all remember the periodic table from chemistry class, l 118 elements and always climbing. Chemists are always trying to create new elements by cramming protons into the nucleus, but one might wonder, Could we reverse the process to find element zero? There has been much prediction around element zero but it has never been proven to exist. One man named Andreas von Antropoff claimed to discover element zero which is known today as neutronium inside of neutron stars. This element, which he named Neutronium made of the smallest, densest stars called neutron stars. These stars hold the mass of more than 3 stars and only twenty kilometers wide. They are made almost entirely of neutrons held by intense gravity. This would be an ideal element zero, but it only exists under the immense gravity of a neutron star. So as far as we know right now, there still is no element
