September 11 Impact On Society Essay

It was the year or 2001, smoke was in the air, fires were starting, planes were crashing buildings were falling, the world would never be the same again. September 11 is now one of the most feared and respected day of the year. On this day “ Two jet airplanes, hijacked by religious extremists, smashed into the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center” (Lalley 15). Nearly 3,000 people were killed, almost 5,000 were injured (Lalley 20). The buildings went down at separate times. The North building went down first, the south not even 10 minutes behind. The Al Qaeda terrorists were later hunted down by U.S government and were soon killed (The World). On the day of the crash 3 American landmarks were attacked, the North and South towers and the Pentagon all went down that day (Nathen 36). Steve Jobs grew up as an orphan, he dropped out of college and was fired from most of his jobs. His family he grew up with was very poor. Steve grew up with no siblings, no pets, but a vision.
