September 11, 2001: Two Important Events In History

December 7, 1941. September 11, 2001. Both important dates in history. The United States of America was attacked on both of these dates. Many loved ones were lost, cities were attacked, and attractions were destroyed. These two attacks left a mark on the United States. tragedies happened on this day that many people these days will never forget. September 11, 2001 is a date to remember considering the events that happened on that day. Four planes hijacked by Al Qaeda terrorists, nineteen men assaulting passengers and killing the pilots on each plane. All the planes were intentionally planned to be used for terrorist attacks against the Unites States, two of them used to attack both of the twin towers, the third plane to attack the pentagon, the central for the United States military, and the fourth plane experienced a passenger revolt leading it to not reach its destination and causing it to crash in a field in Pennsylvania. In Pearl Harbour, 2,335 military personnel died including 2,008 navy, 109 marines, and 218 army. A total of 68 civilians also died during the attack. In just two hours 18 warships, 188 aircrafts an 2,403 servicemen were lost in the attack. In 9/11, irreplaceable documents, records, art, artifacts were destroyed along with 3,000 American lives. People were trying to make sense out what had just happened. People were also fearful and worried for their lives and their families. What did people witness? They witness people dressed in suits jumping out of windows from the towers. They had no way out, they were trapped and they knew it.
