Search Engines. After the invention of the World Wide Web content was plentiful, the method to finding said content was not very applicable. Starting in the late 1990’s search engines like Planet Oasis were used to find information retaining relevant data through PPC methods and in 1998 Google was created. In 2004 Google became public and the worlds largest search engine. The main reason why Google works so well is because it provides a solution to immediate problems, issues, or concerns that basically no previous method of information gathering could preform. To start, the visitor volume for a Search engine far outweighs Social Media volume or blog volume. Commonly, search engines are used briefly but consistently everyday by just about anybody that has an Internet connection. Social Media differs from search engines and blogs based on the content that is allowed within the parameters of the site.
