Why are you interested in joining the Scarlet Ambassador team? I am interested in joining the Scarlet Ambassador team to share my love for Rutgers with prospective students. I know of the resources and opportunities that I have received since attending Rutgers and am truly proud of my university. It is my hope that by sharing my successes, failures, and experiences with prospective students that I will help them make a decision on a college that will positively impact me in the way that Rutgers has made a mark on me.

First I would like to gain more leadership opportunities on campus. After transferring to Rutgers last Fall, I searched for opportunities to make a difference in my Rutgers community. I am not the type of person to start a new club to change the world or start a fundraiser to better something on campus; instead, my strengths are in my communication skills and personal experience. I am hoping that being a Scarlet Ambassador will be my opportunity to make an impact at Rutgers University. In addition, I hope to gain a larger network of friends in the Rutgers community. One of my favorite experiences my first week at Rutgers, was when I ran into a student who first gave me a tour of Rutgers. She recognized me and asked me how my first week was going. When I first came to college, I had no intention of being a “sorority girl”, but somehow I accidentally ended up at a Delta Gamma event last fall. Before I knew it, I was accepting a bid to be apart of an organization that I knew little about. Since joining Delta Gamma, I have gain one hundred reliable and loving sisters. I have had the opportunity to use my organization skills to better my chapter serving as Director of Calendar Events, where I make and up keep the calendar of events. My leadership skills have also been noticed by leaders in my chapter. I have been selected to attend the Northeast Greek Leadership Association Conference in Pittsburgh to represent my chapter and gain new information to help better my chapter in the upcoming year. My time in Delta Gamma has not been long, but since joining it has helped me make a large school small and thrive in what I do
