Boxing… The misunderstood art! What do you mean? No sport where you beat the opposition up until one gives in can be considered an art!this is a generalization made by many who have not even seen a full boxing match. Boxing is the only way of life to those who are fans and participants in the sport. Just imagine that feeling of months and months of running, lifting weights, taking blow and blow, one punch at a time one step at a time for it all to come down to one night of 12 rounds in front of thousands. Now imagine the feeling of being alive you must feel when you connect with that one punch that sucks the room out of the air! Stops time! And lands your opponent on the mats for the knockout win… Amazing right? Oh my bad, I forgot we're talking about the misunderstood art… To you it must Just seem like 12 rounds of brutality and stupidity. However for the greatest boxer of all time Griffin Kemp boxing is his way of life.
I had many ideas on how to play out my story, however in the end I chose a rag to riches route. That being I am a very big fan of boxing and love learning about real life rags …show more content…
A highschool dropout living with his mother with no future in sight…. The odds stacked against him. Griffin through hard work, dedication and the grace of God works his way through the boxing world to become arguably the greatest the sport has ever seen. Griffin wasn't even supposed to be here and he lives and fights like that chip on his shoulder! “The train that could”. I believe there is no better litteruary trait to have in a story than conflict and overcoming it because it's the lines in your story that propel action and show and deepen your characters true morals. Griffin obviously didn't role over and become another statistic he took hold and hung on to life through boxing. All driven by conflict and overcoming
