Samurai
Samurai were fierce warriors who were known to the Japanese history from shogun to ronin. shogun meaning master, ronin meaning samurai without a master. loosely translated it means "masterless samurai". samurai were the cops of their time after they were told to live in castles of the village. They were the cops of their time because they were the only ones who could carry swords in the village. Before they lived in castles they were more of a mercenary type of person, they were hired by citizens and we're paid in rice.

Samurai used weapons such as bows and arrows guns and swords. samurai were the only ones permitted to carry a sword in the village and always lived in a castle. The word samurai means the one who serves. Samurai would serve their masters.
A samurai's master was the one who trained them their sensi. When samurai were for the japanese military they could only hire ronin. Ronin means samurai without a master. They way samurai were paid was in rice. Samurai weren't always for the japanese military.
A samurai's life was lived through the way of bushido. Samurai were members of a society ¨warrior castel. Once the japanese government adopted the art of the samurai which was bushido, aikido, and others the ones that wouldn't work for the government were causing havoc and were still work for hire. A samurai's teacher would be called their master, shogun, sensi. In the 20th century the japanese government was overruled by the warrior class.
Swords that samurai used were Naginata, Ken, Tanto, Uchigatana, Tachi ,Shinogi-zukuri katana. Samurai had to be loyal self disciplined and respectful. Samurai were to guard the village. samurai were hired by mostly wealthy landowners. the reason they would need samurai or any protection was because they would not be with the
