To illustrate, the running of the bulls is almost exactly like that of its name. “Wild” bulls are led along the streets of Irunea to the bull ring by volunteer runners from all over. It all begins on the morning of July 7th at the corral in Calle Santo Domingo when the clock strikes 8. Two rockets are launched before the bulls are released to charge down the streets behind the runners. Once all the bulls are in the bull ring a third rocket and a fourth for when the whole run is over. This 825 meters last between three to four minutes usually. The event can be known to take over 10 minutes, especially if one of the bulls has been isolated from his companions.
