The first and most important character that played a huge role in the death of Romeo and Juliet is the feuding families. Due to the Capulets and Montagues long lasting feud, the star-crossed lovers were not allowed to see each other. When Lord Capulet sees a montague coming he claims; ¨My sword, I say! Old Montague is come and flourishes his blade spite of me¨ (1.1.73-74)). This quote is relevant to the topic simply because when Lord Capulet notices a Montague he go into defense mode and was willing to fight him. The feuding families were clearly a big part in the blame for the death of Romeo and Juliet. Friar Lawrence is another one to blame for the death of Romeo and Juliet because of his inadequate ideas. Romeo not only killed his cousin but rushed into marrying Juliet as they had only known each other for about a day. Not only that but Romeo and his discombobulate love life had a major role in the outcome of their fatal ending. At that party where he met Juliet, he was actually anticipating meeting Rosaline. He was in love with Rosaline before he met Juliet. When he did end up meeting Juliet, shortly after he wanted them to get married. As the nurse came back with news about the marriage she stated this, “Then hie you hence to Friar Lawrence’ cell; there stays a husband to make you a wife” (2.5.68-69). What this quote is referring to is that Juliet will meet Friar and Romeo in Friar’s cell to get married. Romeo and his outrageous actions had a big impact on the reason why he and his loved one Juliet kills
