Advocacy is a term that describes working to influence public policy in social, economic, political, and cultural spheres in order to bring about justice and positive societal change in human rights and environmental issues (Environmental Paradigms, 2016). At present, the human race is facing many challenging truths around global legacy. Whether the current generation chooses to live sustainably by conserving resources and nurturing Earth’s biodiversity and protecting the air and water will define the way of living for future generations. Firstly, Ecological and physical limits which either don’t match or directly align with directions of environmental advocacy. This associates with things such as varying ecosystem thresholds, climate, geology and geological limits around the world and the level of environmental exposure that people have directly relating to their understanding of the need for environmental practice (Lindsay Jones, 2010). Using the need for sustainable agriculture as an example, communities might ignore environmental advocates pushing for sustainable practice until they feel direct effects on their own lives/communities. This could result in local policy makers not recognising the need for sustainable approaches until the point arises that ecosystems in which they live on can no longer support or sustain livelihoods. For Developed countries, this is highly relevant as the largest contributors to GHG emissions into our atmosphere, whilst developing countries around unstable geographical or climate regions are being hit hardest. This means it’s almost like you don’t yet directly experience the responsibility
