Government is the backbone of a nation. It may take different forms, such as a democracy, dictatorship, oligarchy, republic or communist state, but its purpose is always the same: to run a union of people. However, the malevolence of humanity can always seep into the state. Those wanting power, money, sex, fame, and other objects of corruption slip into the system, rising to take control of the system. This instance is not a rare occurrence; for thousands of years, unholy and unrighteous leaders have been holding positions of power. These tyrants are eternal, using fear to gain and keep their power. Sophocles, author of the tragic play Antigone, revealed this in Creon.
