Working in health and social care, I do have many responsibilities towards my employer and towards people I support. I do work with adult residents, some of them, who experienced harm and abuse in the past. Harm and abuse can be anything from self-neglect, emotional, physical, financial, sexual abuse, reckless behaviour, bulling or self-harm. Accordingly to my job description and following the policy and procedure of the Home, which is a recovery unit for people with social and mental problems, I do build up a good relationship with the residents, offering in the same time practical assistance to increase or sustain their independence, improving aspects of their everyday life. I do support and enable them to live in a safe from abuse, environment.
