This exercise has also taught me how to analyse my communication style and others’ response: who identified main players are, how I send a stimulus, how I receive a stimulus and how other people respond to my stimulus. When analysing a transaction, it is important to closely analyse the ego states of my own and responder’s since monitoring the ego stages may give insights on why others and I give stimulus and respond to stimulus in a certain way, which will improve awareness of communication and resolve communication difficulties (Lapworth & Charlotte 2016). In addition, analysing types of the transaction is important as the crossed transaction might be an indication of great communication problems and the duplex transactions require delving into a deeper level of communication as there is another message (Berne 1961). …show more content…
