To administer unacceptable behavior in order to protect other citizens being makes us feel safe. The government has limited power over its citizens and ensures the justifications of our rights. For instance, the police forces should get involved in a fight between two people to stop it or if there was a shoot out, they should be there to stop it. Only to an extent the police force should interfere because sometimes they kill off innocent people for wrongfully reasons. The police shouldn't base stereotypes on certain groups of people. It sets fear which cause unjust actions. Another example is if there is a terrorist attack. The government should do everything they can to prevent casualties upon innocent lives. If there is any instance where an government official corrupts this peace or ‘abuse the public’s trust’, we, the people can petition to vote this person out of their role. We also have the ability to elect those we trust and have the capability to serve the people into the office. For example, if the president makes an unjust decision (treason, misdemeanors, crimes, etc) that puts the whole country and its people into conflict, we can impeach him (or possibly soon, her.) This right to impeach an official shows that we are a true democracy. The government is made up of citizens who are there for us containing the same rights. Speaking of rights, the government does not have the ability to dispose of our unalienable rights; the right to Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness. The government can not restrict us from these basic human rights, freedom, and liberty. Though, there are limits to these needs because it will prevent widespread chaos. We, the people, have so many rights that can oppose government order. For example, we have the right to remain silent (Miranda rights) and freedom of speech. We have the right to verbally oppose to a government ordeal and protest it, peacefully, without backlash. There are so many rights we have but with every right there is a limitation, which is okay.
