The activity was a process in which one person (Person A) sits on a desk with their legs dangling from the table, and another person (Person B) strikes them right below the knee cap with a reflex hammer. After striking the knee with the hammer, the knee of Person A reflexes, also known as “Patellar Reflex”. The reason for this response is that the tapping on the knee sends a message to the brain which causes it to contract. The reflex aid in maintain the balance of the body while standing up because the reflex straightens the knee.
