For example in football, the very first thing that happens is a ritual that is important to the game. It decides who gets the ball first starting the game. Ritual in play can also very from player to player. For example, LeBron James Throws powder in the air before every game. Another example is how almost players in the NBA have a different free throw motion or different action they do before their free throw. Another example is the different dances or celebrations players do it football after they score. Rituals of play are very important if we took, the rituals of play out we would take the creativity of play that comes from the rituals. This is important for players to have because if they do not have this attitude then they could do something stupid and get in trouble. This is how you separate veterans from the new people in the sport. The veterans will have a better understanding of what is going on and will untimely have a better lusory attitude. The way this effects normal human nature is if the rules make you somewhat control your emotions because if you act out it is a penalty or a foul. With lusory attitude, some players might be able to control their emotions but then real human behavior might come in and some player might lose control of their emotions and get the penalty or foul. The reason why sports might be a thing of make believe is the fact they want players to control their emotions so they don’t argue with the ref, players coaches, or even the crowd.
