Initially when I found out that enable for me to graduate, I would have to take a physical education class I had my mind fixed on it being super easy. To a certain point yes the class was easy in content wise. I am a nursing student so most of the content in the class was fairly easy. However there was one thing that I did want to accomplish from this course, to become healthy. Throughout this year and half of nursing school I have had a whole lot of coffee, sugar, carbs, fats, and no exercise. I knew, I was unhealthy and I could see it when I stood in front of the mirror every now and then contemplating if I should go to the gym or study. With very little motivation, I had given up the idea of even making my way to the gym which was merely …show more content…
Not that I had to do exercise but the idea of getting up and actually going to the gym. This past month has been a change. There is a change in the amount of energy I have. I get so much satisfaction at the end of the workout, a sense of accomplishment, that I was able to achieve my goal for that one day. There is a change in how I look, even though I haven’t lost a great amount of weight, I do see the light at the end of the tunnel as with every day passing I am moving closure to my goal. This course has helped me learn more about myself, my body type, what I need to do to stay healthy. Another thing, you don’t always have to be on diet. You just have to know portion control; that was my other challenge. Like every other person I love food, but had no sense of how much I need to eat. One more important thing that I learned about is stress management. Chapter 10 specifically talks about different parts that are affected due to

About halfway through the first semester of weights, I began becoming more courageous. I am a naturally shy person, to be honest, I do not like talking to people at all. The courage or whatever it was that I gained from working out gave me the strength to be able to talk to more people and to become a little more…

Have you noticed that Physical Education seems to be a narrowing field? I strongly believe that there is a reason we need to keep PE in schools and in society today. Unfortunately, I feel as though many of the educators and teachers today aren’t taking it seriously. They aren’t doing enough to help the students become physically active, instead, the teachers just sit there because it is a job to them, nothing more. If the teachers had a better personal philosophy on what they actually want to teach, then I feel like PE would be a much stronger field and everyone would want it around.…

It 's truly amazing to see foods I thought were "complete" and "good" for me, aren 't really, and may actually hinder me in the quest for a truly healthy diet.…

It also has taught me to not be complacent and that it is never to late to start a routine again and showed me how much I actually miss engaging in physical activity. I definitely think I changed my behavior and even though I am done with this project I plan on continuing to go to gym everyday even if it is for only 15 minutes because the only bad workout is the one that didn’t happen. I also don’t want to be so critical and harsh on myself because this is a small stepping stone and need to learn to be patient. I am very proud that I have begun working out again. I believe what was most helpful was being able to keep track of what times work best and coming to realize that I was just wasting my free time watching Netflix something that isn’t beneficial.…
