Pharaoh Senurset I was a strong leader he also ruled a stable unified Egypt. Pharaoh Senurset was known as the patron of arts because, in the time Senurset I ruled art, literature, and architecture flourished. Senurset I controlled mines filled with gold, copper, gems like purple amethyst. After Senurset I helped control the mines artisans fashioned the materials into amazing pieces of jewelry such as bracelets and necklaces. These pieces pf jewelry were often highly detailed. Great works of literature were written during Senurset I reign including "The Story of Sinuhe" which was about a boy who overhears the plot to kill the Pharaoh, fearing his own life Sinuhe flees Egypt then after a new pharaoh calls him back he returns joyful. Senurset I finest architectural achievment was the White Chapel. The Chapel was built with alabaster which is a hard white stone. Some historian think that the White Chapel was originally covered in a thin layer of gold.
