To understand the conflict, one must understand capitalism. Capitalism supports the free market. The free market supports free enterprises, entrepreneurship, and the explicit use of the consumer’s own money. With capitalism comes competition. Competition is all in the name of winning the consumer’s money. Without capitalism, and with socialism, the consumer’s favorite jeans would never go on sale. It is painful to one with understanding of economics to see people desiring socialism. Modern youth would not be able to survive without capitalism. All these modern marvels can largely be attributed to companies always wanting to have the next best thing. Socialism stifles economic growth. However, with entrepreneurship, any individual can make any kind of product they desire and sell it. Everyone wants to create the next best thing. This is why iPhones continue to be released.
