To begin with how would having more hours in the day help the students. The time we have the school at now allows all the students the time they need to sleep for the next day. According to an article by Fox News a high school in Edina Minn changing their start time from 7:20 to 8:30 has “improved attendance, decreased tardiness, left kids more alert, and even made them less likely to go to the nurse”.
