First and foremost, watering systems are one way we can attack this problem. These watering systems would be placed under plants, fields of crops, and yards, allowing it to automatically water certain areas. The sprinklers would be able to adjust their height and direction to do so. They would determine if the area has had enough water and if so, it would automatically shut off. According to “Worldometers”, “Worldwide, agriculture accounts for 70% of all water consumption, compared to 20% for industry and 10% for domestic use.” (Dadax, 1) This shows that …show more content…
The substances and containers would be applied to a certain area in crop fields and yards outside of homes. They would have the ability to hold excess water and release it when the soil around it would become dry. They would be placed or applied near plant seeds or roots. According to the graph on “Vital Water Graphics”, it shows that both agriculture and domestic use of water uses a lot of water. The use of the water absorbent substances can help reduce the amount of water consumed. Many people may think about how the substances can contain water and if the roots grow through the substances. The substance wouldn’t damage the plant and would only absorb and release water when needed. The substance wouldn’t be damaged, destroyed, or broken
