It was a little more than a year ago when I jumped on a plane and flew to South America. My first great experience on this trip took place on the plane. I was on a huge, triple isle plane when I flew to Chile. Based on my luck that day so far, I imagined a very large, smelly man would be sitting next to me. But a miracle must have happened. I saw a tall girl with brown hair and tan skin was walking down the aisle wearing a white marled Patagonia fleece. To my luck she stopped next to me and put her bag above our seats and told me her name: “Hi! My name is Rachel!”
Rachel was on the Volleyball team for the US and she was so, so nice. We talked about where we were from, our schools, and our lives. She was from Colorado.
