‘Yes I have, for seven years I have wanted to tell you this.’

‘Really! What do you have in those shoppers there?’ she referred to the shopping I had done along with the ring for her.

‘Nothing much, some gifts for Sammy. I went out to get this ring for you and saw these special edition bags that she had wanted so bought them for her.’

‘And did you choose the ring on your own?’

‘No I asked the salesman to give me the most expensive one. I didn’t know what kind you liked.’

‘Don’t you see how much you care for her and I have seen the same emotion in her eyes for you. I just don’t understand why you two don’t get together for good.’

‘But I love….’ Before I could complete she interrupted me.

I had made him tell me something of his life that I know he was not very proud of. I mean I never thought that my father could ever tell anyone of some event in which he was on the ‘losing side’ but today he just opened up a whole different chapter of his life where the D-boy was not so successful.
