There is a very big problem about payment, not just in the United States but also all around the world. For every dollar a man makes women make from 70 cents to 80 cents, for the exact same job. Why? What is the difference between men and women doing the same job? Though the woman's paycheck has improved since the 1970s, when it was just 59% to what men were being paid.
As of 2014 the wage gap was 79% of what men were being paid. It took approximately 40 years to raise it that 20%, why are people especially women more worried about this? The state with the worst payment gap is Louisiana with a 65% to a man’s check, but in Missouri alone we have a 77% difference to a man’s paycheck. The best which is the District of Columbia were women earn 90% to every man’s dollar. Studies showed that girls (as children) do more chores for longer than boys do, but are paid less. For 2.1 hours work of chores boys are paid on average $48, while for 2.8 hours girls are paid $45. How are girls supposed to fight for something that their parents raised them as such? Traditional feminine jobs include folding,vacuuming, and washing dishes, while male jobs are more masculine including mowing lawns of building something. For these reasons it makes it easier for males to leave the house and get jobs, while girls do this also, their list of jobs they can to are much more limited (such as babysitting).
