The patient is a 48 year old female who presented to the ED via LEO under full IVC by DAYMARK. The patient reports a non-compliance with her medications and experiencing auditory hallucinations. The patient denies suicidal ideations and homicidal ideations. The patient reports depressive symptoms as:guilt, fatigue, tearfulness, anhedonia, and isolation.
During the time of the assessment the patient was alert and calm. The patient reports that she has been hearing voice recently. The patient reports feelings of anxious. The patient states, " The voices tell me to lie." Additionally, stating, "It's not about them, it's about you or it's not about you it's about them." Due to an increase in depressive symptoms, poor insight, poor judgement, poor impulse control, the patient is in need of inpatient hospitalization. TACT consulted with Dr. Gentry and it was recommended to refer for inpatient hospitalization for safety and stabilization. TACT assisted the ED doctor in completing IVC paperwork.
