There were plenty of differences between the role of the medical-surgical nurse and the adult daycare center, but not many similar roles. All of these areas are open and can be accessed but the participants without assisted from staff. The outside garden is enclosed by a fence but, contains a walking trail and many seating areas (picnic table, benches, rocking chairs, and outdoor furniture). The participants and staff recently planted onions, lettuce, strawberries, and tomatoes in the garden. Everything in the garden is considered edible, meaning that if a participant ate a plate or something it is not going to hurt them just may have a tummy ache. The sunroom has couches, recliners, and a table with chairs for participants can relax. The main room is where most of the participants stay throughout the day. These is an area that had tables with chairs, television, and crafts area. The participants eat lunch in this area, complete crafts, listen to music, plays noodle ball, and socialize with others. The two quite rooms are not used much but are for bible studies, or just needing to take a nap. There is ten bathrooms for all participants uses and a treatment room that had bed for incontinent care. The treatment room was mainly used to give a bolus enteral feeding to one participant. At the adult daycare center there are no nurse’s station. The lifts are located in the treatment room, while vital equipment is located in the nurse’s office. The supply cabinet in the treatment room kept all the enteral feeding supplies, and extra medical supplies. They are cabinets in the hallways that have insentience products, and another with an extra change of clothes for each participant incase of an accident. The medication is stored in the storage room, off of the main room, in a file cabinet. These have to have original pharmacy labels that include name, instructions, and
