National Honor Society Personal Statement

The National Honor Society serves as a symbol of excellence to the student body of South Effingham High School. As a hard-working, goal-oriented individual, I feel that being a member of the National Honor Society would greatly benefit my character and scholastic abilities. After graduating from high school, I plan to attend the University of Georgia, and later Emory University to attain a degree in orthopedic surgery. I would then like to establish my own practice. As an orthopedic surgeon, I will work with the utmost care to help those who need my expertise. The skills and confidence I could attain from the National Honor Society would prove to be extremely beneficial in the years to come. As a student, I strive for excellence in order to develop the necessary skills for pursuing a career in the medical field. I commit myself fully to my …show more content…
I am involved in several extracurricular activities, and though I do not hold office in all of them, I strive to serve as a leader and to use my knowledge to advance the causes of the organizations. When I attended the Georgia Capitol with the National Honor Society, I noticed how impressed our state's representatives were with their achievement. Seeing this recognition has fueled my desire to become a member of the National Honor Society. I feel that I possess many important characteristics that will help me to be successful in life. I am very dedicated to the activities that I participate in, including school, church, sports, and extracurricular activities. Also, I care for others and lend a hand whenever I am able to do so.
