From the liberal arts education to Oberlin's long standing history, I would be crazy if I did not to apply to Oberlin College. This quirky college community is everything that I want in a campus from the academically challenging courses provided and Oberlin's long standing history. Notable alumni; William Grant Still a musical composer and genius attended Oberlin College. WIlliam Grant Still wrote Afro-American Symphony, one of my favorite pieces, being able to walk the halls that were once walked by Still would be an honor. Pioneer in African American women pursuing a higher education Mary Church Terrell an African American earned her college degree at Oberlin.…
Rutgers University possesses the ability to both educate me academically and culturally to the world around. Growing up as a latino first generation child has made me feel like I am part of two worlds . I am very proud of my ethnicity and my culture. I am very grateful for my parents because they have overcome many obstacles for me and my sister . Their difficulties due to their lack of college education have showed me the importance of a college background .…
I play on the women's collegiate softball team at St. Thomas University. I have been playing softball since I could walk and, along with every other athlete, my dream is to play on the biggest and brightest stage possible. For softball that is the NCAA College World Series. Unfortunately, I don't have the ability to make millions of dollars playing professional softball like many other professional athletes. This is it for me because college is the highest level of softball I will play in my life and I don't want to settle at a school where I know my athletic ability and hard work could get me so much further.…
The basic facts that I have given in my general application are only the facts that have been written down and kept record of. They don’t tell you who I am as a person, nor do they tell you if I would be a good candidate for your school. Hopefully, in this personal testimony of mine, I would like to explain some of the reasons why you should consider me as a student that is right for your school. I would first like to start off saying that your school is at the top of my list, as well as many others. I know that I am a perfect candidate for FIT as I have learned many great things in high school and at the community college I attend that will benefit me on my journey as I go to transfer to a four year University of my choice.…
The first reason for choosing Rutgers University is because Rutgers University has rich history and academic atmosphere. Rutgers was established in 1766 and it is the third oldest university in the United States. Also, Rutgers University is well known for high academic achievement of students. Especially, since College of Arts and Sciences has good curriculum and excellent faculty, I think I could study social sciences, cultures and international relations in good condition. I applied to Loyola Academy for many reasons. First and foremost, the tradition. The tradition of Loyola Academy is truly mind blowing, from the athletics, theatre, after school clubs and activities and most importantly the academics. This led me to apply because I have participated in football, basketball, volleyball and the school play in middle school while never receiving a detention or being put on athletic probation do to my grades. I believe Loyola Academy is perfect for me because of the wide variety of options Loyola offers each student.…
I am applying to Rutgers University in hopes to pursue an education under an Exercise Science degree. Of all other options, Rutgers is definitely the best fit for me for many reasons. Rutgers can help me to reach my future career goals because of the great programs it has in the field that I am interested in. It also has such a great diversity among the students and teachers which can be beneficial academically as well as in other aspects in life. This school offers much more in terms of programs, internships, and career opportunities than most other schools can and that is why I believe it to be the best choice for me.…
I choose to apply to Wilmington University in order to continue my education for many reasons. A few of these reasons being affordable tuition, convenient location and flexible course options. As a full time mother and employee, all of these reasons are extremely important when looking for the right school for me and my family. Since I received my A. A. in Psychology at Burlington County College I have been informed of the option to attend Wilmington University, to continue with obtaining my B.A. in Behavioral Science, while on campus. The fact that your school allows someone like me to continue my education while still being able to maintain a family and a full time job is optimal.…
Another reason why I'm applying to Auburn University is the social atmosphere. A large state school such as Auburn University will be able to provide the college atmosphere that I long…
I am a great prospective student for your school because I have worked hard all my life for this and have learned and adapted so many skills from attending a very prestigious, demanding high school. I feel like every club, association, extracurricular, and any and all of my activities I have participated in have been for this very moment. Also I feel like all the test, quizzes, and exams I have studied for have been specifically for this university. Jacksonville University has been a dream school of mine since about Sophomore year.…
My career goal is to one day to be a broadcaster for ESPN, but in order to do that I would need to have a internship with ESPN. In order to do that I would need to have connection with someone who works for ESPN. Before I get that connection I need to learn how to become a professional broadcaster, and Chapman’s Dodge College of Film and Media Arts is absolutely the best place for me to learn how to become a sports broadcaster. I love all the resources that the college offers to all the students, and if given the opportunity, I would take full advantage of all those tools and resources. The reason I want to attend Chapman College is because the education and resources offer to the students.…
Finding the perfect college for me felt like a scavenger hunt for a while until I found Hofstra University. Prior to the spring of my junior year I had never even heard of Hosfstra. Not until I researched the types of majors were offered that interested me, for instance Pre-Medical Studies and Biology-Pre-Med, and actually stepped foot on campus did I realize that it was a perfect fit for me. The first time I became acquainted with Hofstra was through the former assistant cross country coach, Coach Sheridan, who emailed me inquiring to me about being a part of Hofstra’s cross country team.…
Why do I want to go to NYU? I have wanted to go to nyu ever since my freshman year of high school when I went a trip with my class.
