My application would be incomplete if I did not tell you about some of my morals and beliefs. I volunteer and the Real Life Center, a local food bank, every Thursday. I volunteer there because I believe that aiding your community is the best thing a person can do, and when you help your community they will help you in your time of need. I volunteer because it challenges me both mentally and physically. Those are the two most important things a person can do each day to better themselves as a person. I am also an outstanding leader at the Real Life Center. I am responsible for the storage of food, and the stocking and operation of the food pantry. I volunteered in the recovery room of a hospital for 6 months earlier this year. I was primarily shadowing the nurses as they prepared the patients for transition to the regular rooms. `I also took down results, helped patients get food/drug items they needed, help transport them around the hospital and provided general support to the nursing staff. This was my first experience with volunteering, and it showed me how beneficial it is to not think about myself but help others, while becoming more immersed in my chosen field. On the other hand, it also made me realize that it would be more rewarding to volunteer in a setting with even less available…

If only there would have been more people volunteering, then so much more people could have been helped. And if more people can be help, then the suffering on earth can be ease. The big problem is that everyone is so busy with their personal life that they forget about the importance of helping others. A positive aspect I saw was that those who were already volunteering were really dedicated and kind hearted. I believe they are making a big impact on every person they touched and made it a task to spread their kindness.…
