I transported patients, removed contaminated equipment, restocked utilities, and assisted visitors. I learned the non-clinical aspects of medicine, as well as the importance of teamwork in providing quality healthcare.

At the UHS, I gained valuable clinical experience conducting one-on-one patient intakes; I spoke with the patient about their concerns, took vitals, and followed up with the physician. I was able to track the patient’s experience from start to finish. I learned that my passion lies in clinical medicine where I have daily contact with patients.
