In 1991 a mummified body was found in the Italian Alps scientist determined that the mummy was about 5,300 years old. Scientist are currently investing to see how the mummy died so far the most likely cause of death was hypothermia. This theory was put into question when scientist discovered several fractures in the mummy skull. However it was determined that the fractures would not have been fatal. Scientist are almost positive that hypothermia was the death of the mummy was caused by freezing to death in the friged Alp temputares. All in all this was important for scientist to study the remains of once living things to learn about how life was so many years
