Throughout the history many schools have been teaching lessons only one way. Not only students are suppose to learn in the same way, but also they are evaluated in an identical manner. Although same people believe in this approach, this approach is faulty. There is no doubt that today’s world has been various and this variety should be reflected on educational system. Such alternation create new theories one of which is the Multiple Intelligences Theory, developed by Gardner in 1983. Howard Gardner state that all human beings have Multiple intelligences. These multiple intelligences can become fortified or neglected or weakened. Therefore, every educational institution should employ approaches of multiple intelligences because such approaches motivate students to learn and to succeed as well as build positive relationships necessary for learning.

The first vital reason why multiple intelligences ought to be encouraged at schools is because such an approach motivates students to learn and to be successful. Above all, the theory of multiple intelligences facilitates learning process; thus, multiple intelligence theory should be completely utilized. To exemplify, if a student is a visual learner, teaching by using images leads to more successful learning. On the other hand, when a musical learner is taught through music, he or she remembers the subject matter better. When different and various materials related to Multiple Intelligences are applied, this enables students to understand better. To exemplify, as stated in New Horizons, when teachers apply various forms of materials, students are more likely to gain understanding because there are always different types of learners in one classroom. To exemplify, according to ‘Modern Clack board Interactive Whiteboard SMART Board Pricing Information’ a single smart board cost about 5.000 dollars and this is just a cost for one smart board. Other requirements such as TV, DVD, projectors, internet connection etc. might be more expensive. This means that institutions employing multiple intelligences theories spend more money. There is some truth to this argument; yet, educational institutions can find additional finances. There are many equipments that might be bought cheap for instance China. What is more, schools can receive financial support such as parental support, governmental support or find sponsors. For this reason, although the approaches of multiple intelligences leads to higher expenditure. This should not be an obstacle, if we want to educate our next generations efficiently.

Taking everything into consideration, Multiple Intelligences theory motivates students to pick up and to be successful as well as it creates positive relationship necessary for successful learning. Additionally, Multiple Intelligences approach make lessons more enjoyable leading to higher points on exams.
