The Hunger Games is the film and novel everyone has seen and loved, so if you haven’t already seen it, it’s time to see it now.
The Hunger Games is the first novel in Suzanne Collins trilogy. The novel was released in 2008 and became popular fast. The trilogy has sold more than 65 million copies and that only in the U.S. The series are ranked second, only beaten by Harry Potter. The genre is drama, adventure, science fiction and action.
The main characters is Katniss Everdeen played by Jennifer Lawrence and Peeta Mellark played by Josh Hutcherson.
The movie takes place in the future America, in the nation Panem, a country consisting of the wealthy and powerful Capitol that rules 12 poor districts. The capitol people life a good life with money and power, while the people in the twelve other districts often die of starvation, which especially happens in district 12, the poorest of the districts. For a long time ago, the districts that were 13 at the time had a rebellion against the capitol. Because of that, district 13 were destroyed and the hunger games were created as a punishment for the rebellion. I think the film is exiting because you get to see desperate people and how they act when it comes to their life, throughout the novel the only thing Katniss is thinking about is to stay alive and to help Peeta stay alive. You get to see someone in a desperate way and see what he or she do in order to stay alive. I think even though it is terrible it gives some kind of joy and entertainment to watch someone suffer and fight for their life. You even get that surviving feeling by watching this film; you find some tributes you sheer on and hope they will do well. You follow them through the film, to see how they act and if they
