"So what do you think you 'll do after this?" asked Peeta.
"You seem so obsessed about the future," you complained, your brow furrowing slightly. "We have months left in the tour."
"Still, just humor me." He met your gaze for a second, then looked out the window. "The future is important."
You sighed. "Alright." After a minute to collect your thoughts, you shrugged. "I just see myself singing for the rest of my life. I don 't see anything like settling down."
"No significant other?" He frowned, his thoughtful eyes scanning your face once before returning to the window. "No comfort of home?"
"You make it sound so depressing!" You laughed and shook your head slightly. "I 'm a free spirit. I like it."
"Still. . ." For once, Peeta seemed to struggle for words. "Why—"
"Look. For now, I prefer stage lights over house lights," you asserted, "and I don 't understand what 's so bad about it."
