In the beginning of this book, Nate and his football team, from Valley, Massachusetts, were playing a game on a Saturday morning. Nate gets the chance of a lifetime to potentially win one million dollars. At the same time, his best friend, Abby, is losing her sight and Nate’s dad can’t seem to find enough money working two jobs to support their family. On Thanksgiving night, Nate and his friends and family cannot believe it when Nate slices the football right through the target, winning a million dollars. As Abby’s eyes are getting worse and worse everyday, Nate decides to use the money he has won to pay for a surgery that will give Abby her sight back.
