On my personal experience, I’m currently attending southwest university and I need to complete several classes and two externships. If you think about it, this is a permanent job because we need medicine and doctors. Everyday someone dies and a new baby is born. We need to know how they died and we need to practice tests to see if there something wrong with the newborn. You will never have to worry about cutting hours or unpaid overtime. On the other hand, working with human fluids could be potentially dangerous; you need to use the proper equipment to protect yourself from getting any viruses in your system. Because hospitals are always open, you must work night shifts and weekends, we can’t control when emergencies happens so you will be working during holidays and important dates in your life, such as birthdays, anniversaries and funerals.
