Everyone become more accepting from family to friends to yourself. “I like about black folks all my life: they never judged me” (Ch11, pg109). Ruth finally felt accepted by the black people even though she was a Jew. To her they were the closes thing to having love. They accepted her flaws and never judged her upon it. Now as a grown man James feel bless to have come from two different world. He learn lesson that one group alone would had being able to teach them. “I said to myself “whatever I’m looking for, I’ve found it” (Ch22 pg228). He learn that the struggles that his family had go through wasn’t in vain cause in the end he came back home. A home that he was banish from he came back to his roots to truly know who he was. He wasn’t alone anymore cause he found where he belong he was accepted to both world for who he was all the life lesson he has gone through.
In conclusion James and Ruth both have experience alienation in their life which lead them to make life changing decision that would lead the to a greater path. They had hard time in their childhood from being bully to being totally outcaste from their families. In their time they found their place of belonging. It’s not our future that tells us who we are in life but the pain and hurtles we over come to find our place in the world. That is why
