. The main purpose or goals of the KCPPE was to exam the presence of police marked cars in the reducing the probability crimes being committed. The treatment that was manipulated by the researchers was the idea of no police patrols in certain areas and others had more patrols than other communities. Study show that most patrolled area (inner-cities) is where innocents motorist get ticketed for traffic violations than the other neighborhoods, especially the suburb areas. The units of analysis were the increase of police marked cars patrols in crimes manifested neighborhoods.

There is multiple treatment interference in the the Kansas City Police Department experiment. For example, the increase of police marked cars, especially in minorities’ communities. Evidence suggest that crimes are linked to physical and social characteristics of a certain blocks, especially in an area of multiple buildings within the neighborhood.
