A hero is someone who cares and helps others and is a brave person. A hero says anything that makes you feel better when you're sad or says things to make you happy. They can look like any other person. They act loving, caring, and helpful. Someone in my life that is a hero to me is my mom, dad, grandpa, and grandma. They help me and care for me every single day and they don't have to but they choose to.The book, The Outsiders had all three of these incredible characters: Ponyboy, Johnny, and Darry are all heroes.
Ponyboy is a hero because he cared for others, helped others, and was a very loving and kind person. Ponyboy always helped people. When the kids were in the burning church he says, " I'll get them don't worry!"(78). That shows how brave and helpful he is. Ponyboy isn't just helpful, he is also caring. He is caring because he thinks about others and not just himself. For example, when he says "Where is Johnny… and Dallas"(80), this proves that he is a very caring and loving person.
