More than half of the people in this world die in suffering pain because many don’t have the choice to stop the agony they feel. Euthanasia translated in Greek means “good death” or easy death. It should be legal just so people could have that choice to decide their death and save themselves from the pain and suffering. The movie “Me Before You” shows a quadriplegic man that couldn’t stand the life he had because he was not what he used to be. He went through the process of assisted suicide to stop the pain he was suffering on the inside. It’s an argumentative topic but one should be willing to experiment it more onto this because one may not know how helpful this could be. It is said that it’s against people’s beliefs (religion) for a proper death. Playing God is a huge deal to some religious people and believe that you shouldn’t decide the faith of your death. Alternatively it’s your life that you’re living and God would want you to be happy. He is to love you no matter who you are or what decisions you have made. He just wants happiness from his creation on earth and if that puts you at peace then why not follow through with the use of Euthanasia. Although the core of this claim is valid, it suffers from a flaw in that death is a very powerful and final situation that can have a major effect. Also people may not be 100% sane while making the decision and regret it later. In contrast, death may be powerful, but if one is sure of their decision then they should have the right to choose. There are standards to follow through and proceed with Euthanasia. On the other hand it could be abused into letting mentally unstable people commit suicide instead of getting the help they need, and is a step closer to capital punishment. What this topics overlooks is that these patients are unstable, they are hurt and tired patients that are unhappy with their critical case that they are done fighting for. Euthanasia should be legal because it improves quality of life, every person should have the right to choose, and it puts people who are suffering out of misery.
