Firstly, I have read that the productivety of employers and workers have gone up in numbers. It stated most people arent fully alert until four hours of being awake, which would give people time to adjust to their day. Not many budgets can afford that kind of loss. Loss of hours also entitles some to loose out on full time earned health benefits. It was also noted that employees that worked shorter shifts had a more high risk of health problems. Forinstance, working less means loss of wages, which brings on anxiety of how to pay your bills or then having to find a second job to pay bills and family needs. Then in return your more tired, run down, and stressed.
Being of working class in society there are many pros and cons to having a shortened work day. I could take it or leave it in my opinion. This six hour day crisis will never work in the United States if it is not practiced. I work an eight hour work day five days a week and it is good for me and my life style. Maybe one day a president will change the law and try to practice this for a short period of time to see if it is applicable for the United States. In the mean time maybe you can judge and see if this works in your
