This which occurs within modern democratic nations causes only certain political views to be based and causes ideological bias in democracy. However the idea that lobbyists controlling too much power is a modern concept is untrue as since even the 18th century worries of large groups becoming to powerful is outlined within the famed American Federalist Papers mainly the concept that society must “Extend the sphere, and take in a greater variety of parties and interests; [as it] make it less probable that a majority of the whole will have a common motive to invade the rights of other citizens.” Throughout the paper and through the quote American founding fathers outline the idea that through the growing strength of a few factions causes not only the rights of citizens to be infringed but the concept that their right to government and having a voice are being personally attacked by these “factions” which would eventually become the modern day lobbyist organizations. Overall the idea that a few small core of lobbyist organizations which large bases and large amounts of funding may appear to be a transparent idea that makes the lobbying of governmental institutions easier, in reality the movement from a large wide-variety of interest groups or factions to a small core of powerful groups
